Aztec Wash Trail is an easy trail in the Lake Mohave area. It provides access directly to Lake Mohave, as well as access to several other trails that go to the lake like Fire Mountain Cove and Montana Wash. Aztec Wash Trail starts in Nelson and the first part of the trail is the most rugged, if you want to call it that. There are one or two washes that cross the trail that may require you to slow down a little and possibly engage 4 wheel drive, but there shouldn't be any problems for any Jeep. There is a nice little beach at the end of Aztec Wash to cool your feed down or to take a swim. On weekends, you can usually find other people there as all these cove trails are popular. Summer temperatures are excessive, so be sure to take plenty of water.
